About Polaris GEO

AI search visibility needs an operator, not another dashboard

Polaris GEO is an AI search visibility platform for B2B brands and agencies. We help teams see how they appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, understand why competitors are being cited instead, and turn those gaps into specific pages, proof assets, and distribution work.

Mission

Help teams move from "we think we have an AI visibility problem" to "we know what is missing and what to build next."

Why Polaris exists

Search has shifted from ranked lists to synthesized answers. Brands need a way to operate inside that new layer.

Polaris was built around a simple observation: buyers are asking AI systems for recommendations before they ever reach a search results page. A company can rank well on Google and still be absent, outdated, or described incorrectly when a buyer asks an AI engine for the best tools, agencies, services, or vendors in a category.

That creates a new operating problem for marketing teams. Traditional SEO dashboards can show rankings and traffic, but they do not explain whether an answer engine knows the brand, trusts the brand, retrieves the right page, or chooses a competitor as the citation. Polaris closes that gap by tracking query-level visibility, sentiment, competitor share, and the source patterns behind AI answers.

The product is designed to move beyond reporting. Once Polaris finds a gap, it helps identify what is missing: a stronger category hub, a comparison page, a proof section, a clearer service page, a blog answer, or an off-site distribution asset. The goal is not more content for its own sake. The goal is the specific asset that makes a brand easier for AI systems and buyers to find, trust, and cite.

Derek Chen

Founder, Polaris GEO

Derek Chen is the founder of Polaris GEO. He is building Polaris as an operator layer for AI search visibility: a system that connects monitoring, diagnosis, content generation, and publishing into one loop.

The work behind Polaris is intentionally practical. The product grew from watching B2B teams discover that AI answers were shaping buyer perception while their existing analytics stack had no way to explain the gap. Polaris focuses on the questions teams actually need answered: where are we absent, who is being cited, which sources are driving the answer, and what should we build next?

Derek writes and maintains the Polaris GEO learning cluster, the public Journey log, and the internal SEO/GEO operating plans that guide the company's own visibility work. Until a verified personal profile URL is approved for publication, this page uses Polaris-owned profile links rather than inventing an external founder link.

How we work

The loop Polaris is built around

Polaris is early-stage, and the operating model is deliberately visible: measure the answer layer, identify the missing signal, build the right asset, and check whether visibility changes.

01

Monitor visibility

Polaris runs priority prompts across major AI engines and tracks citation rate, sentiment, competitor share, and source patterns over time.

02

Diagnose the gap

The system separates engine-level issues from query-level issues, then looks at why a competitor appears: stronger owned content, clearer entity signals, better proof, or more credible third-party mentions.

03

Generate the missing asset

Instead of producing generic content, Polaris recommends and drafts the specific asset that should close the gap, whether that is a service page, comparison page, proof block, category hub, or distribution post.

04

Publish and measure

When an integration exists, Polaris can publish directly. When it does not, the output is structured for clean handoff. The same monitored queries then show whether the work changed AI visibility.

Lean B2B and startup teams

For founder-led or small growth teams, Polaris turns AI search from a vague concern into a concrete queue of visibility gaps and publishable fixes. It is built for teams that need leverage before they have a full SEO function.

Agencies and consultants

For agencies, Polaris creates a repeatable way to audit client visibility, explain why competitors are winning, and ship the right assets without rebuilding the diagnostic process for every account.
